be the change
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
- Margaret Mead

I co-founded and served as leader of the 501(c)(3) non-profit Be More Heroic, dedicated to inspiring individuals and communities to embrace positive and courageous actions against bullying. Be More Heroic, still active today, has evolved its mission, and I currently serve as a board member.
During my tenure leading the non-profit, I co-created a national school tour program to educate students from elementary to university levels on bullying, trauma healing, and other critical youth issues.
Additionally, I collaborated with Tony Award-winning actress Ali Stroker to establish Camp More, a transformative summer camp experience for 17 teenagers from diverse backgrounds. With the partnership of The River Phoenix Center for Peacebuilding, we successfully raised over $26,000 and developed the entire program in just six months.
Simultaneously, I joined forces with co-founder Justin Chase to executive produce "Be More: The Documentary," highlighting the impactful work of our non-profit. The film is currently in post-production.
In January 2018, inspired by the #METOO movement, I founded 98society, a social enterprise brand dedicated to raising awareness about the sexual assault epidemic through purpose-driven apparel. Awarded Best Social Enterprise Fashion Label 2019 - West Coast by Lux Life Magazine, each purchase supported preventive programs and survivor services.
I take pride in the work I did while actively running 98society, including organizing community events, establishing partnerships with outstanding non-profits like Darkness to Light, and fostering collective community healing.
When the pandemic struck, I made the difficult decision to prioritize providing for my family. Temporarily pausing the project, I focused on securing stability until I could revisit and revive it when circumstances allowed.
